Sin Does Not Define Us // Outfit Post

For some reason, no matter what I tried today I couldn't seem to get the perfect lighting.

Finally we have sunshine and heat! It definitely has a positive impact on my mood.

Nothing beats a checked shirt to throw on over any outfit if you get chilly during the day. And if not, wrap it around your waist. I have a major thing for stripes, and I think this dark purple and blue shirt looks great alongside the black and white contrast of the rest of my outfit.

How do you wear your checked shirt? If anyone has a similar taste to myself, let me know. I'd love to check out similar blogs and like-minded people! :)

July Wishlist

A collection of findings on the internet that I have managed to scoop out. If you're looking for colourful outfits, this post probably isn't for you. If you're looking for items in your favourite shade of black, you've come to the right place!

Motel - Leopard Print Collar Denim Jacket
Love the detailed leopard print collar which makes it unique to every other denim jacket. The perfect jacket to slip on when the weather gets cool.

I went off leopard print for a good long while, but lately there seems to a leopard print comeback and i'm falling in love with it all over again.

Iron Fist - Waits Mini Dress
The perfect day and evening dress. The lace detailing and buttoning is what made this dress stand out to me. Will look awesome with a pair of creepers or boots.

Noisy May Printed Kimono
Found on the Asos store IN THE SALE, I repeat SALE. This would be a perfect number for both day and night, to add excitement to the most plain outfit. Though I probably don't need any more star/moon print items.

Motel - Babydoll Dress
I've mentioned Motel before, and I will continue to because like i've already said, they do the best prints! Theres such a wide selection and something for everyone.

Had my eye on this for quite sometime. It's sheer so i'd probably team this with a pair of black shorts and a vest underneath. Unless of course you want to rock it on the way to the beach for over your swimsuit.

Vans - Suede Platforms
I can't actually find these anywhere, which is due to the fact they were limited edition. If anyone manages to find a pair, please let me know! I've been looking for what seems a lifetime and it's making me very sad.

Gypsy Warrior - Friend of the Devil Muscle Tank
If you have a similar style to me, and you haven't checked out Gypsy Warrior before, you need to. You will find that you love every single item on their site It's just a shame its US based only, and some of the items are a bit pricey for what they are.

This is perfect summer goth tank that will go with pretty much everything, and keep you cool.

Does anyone know of a UK based similar site to Gypsy Warrior?

Friday Favourites (On A Saturday) - Vanna

I am holding myself back right now from making a Four Year Strong joke reference due to the title of this post..

Anyways, this week, or at least for the past few days, I have been addicted to the new Vanna album, All Hell. I've been a fan of Vanna since the MySpace days. (I'm sure thinking back to them days makes a lot of people feel old, it does me). I've had this album on repeat since it appeared on YouTube, as it's not officially released yet.

This is a band I can honestly say does not have a bad album (in my opinion). They combine everything I love in my music - heavy breakdowns, sing-along parts, angry and catchy lyrics, and they do it so well. What I love most about them, is since they began they haven't changed their sound TOO much, you can still tell it's them, but at the same time it doesn't get repetitive and boring.

The last song on the album Lead Balloon was a perfect choice to end the album on. This is probably my favourite one of two songs on the album, yet i'm still coming up with a full conclusion on that part. I think this is mainly because the lyrics are so well written. When I first listened to it, it gave me goosebumps. You can just feel the passion coming through, something that was clearly written from honesty, if that makes sense?

My OTHER favourite little number on this album, is the second to last song Mutter. This is surely a song I need to hear live and I just hope they decide to stick this on their setlist in December. The lyrics are catchy as hell and I love the way the song opens "SHUT UP, SHUT UP", and I love how these simple words continue as a theme through the song. This is going to become my new anthem haha, don't see me getting bored of this anytime soon.

There's also something about this album artwork that I love also, though I'm yet to see inside (does anyone else get excited over album artwork, or is that just me?).

I don't know about you, but I cannot wait to get my hands on a physical copy of this masterpiece. It feels like a while since new material has excited me.

Anyone else planning to go see them supporting Beartooth in December? Two bands I cannot wait to see again!

Something I Call Personality // Outfit Post

With the weather being indecisive at the moment, it's hard to know what to wear when you wake up. So i'm struggling at the moment to look summery, but also not be cold (I seem feel the cold too more easily than the average person).

I seem to own a lot of black, so here i've broke up the black a bit with a red velvet kimono. I'm a massive velvet fan, and I love the tassels on the end, all to add to that witchy vibe.
